Field Trip 2.0 : Melaka, Chapter 1

Assalammualaikum & hello everyone!

Last month, we had embarked on a journey to Melaka for our second field trip. This trip was a joint event between Prasekolah SK Seksyen 27(2) and the District Education Department/PPD.

Forty pupils were involved, along with five teachers and our PPD officer for Preschool/Permata, Pn. Zarini. First off, we went to Melaka on 18 May, with a few stops planned. The children were taken to Mamee factory in Ayer Keroh to see the process of making one of the nation's favorite snack, Mamee. As we arrived, the staff were all ready and had welcomed us warmly. We were briefed about the history of the company, and taken on a visit to see the workers & machines preparing Mamee snack noodles and Mamee instant noodles. A special visitor walkway was built in the factory so that visitors can see the whole process from mixing flours until the noodles are ready to be packed, through a long tunnel with walls made of glass.

No cameras are allowed on the walkway, so we were not able to document the children's awe, ahahah!

Next, we sampled a little bit of noodles at a pantry located in the factory. As a parting gift, each of us were given a goodie bag full of Mamee products before we leave for our next destination.
